We wanted a slightly industrial looking piece - not too slick yet not too coarse. The clear acrylic bands are bolted together. The light source is a 400mm diameter opal sphere tucked up inside a 900mm dia spun aluminium dome (see the Cupola on our website). I think we succeeded nicely. Dimensions: 1600mm diameter x 1400mm. Light source: Circular fluoro.
